DENVER, CO – Among national real estate franchises, RE/MAX agents continue to be the most productive in helping U.S. homebuyers and sellers. The RISMedia 2012 Power Broker Report shows that RE/MAX agents sold an average of 15.6 transaction sides in 2011, compared with a per-agent average of 7.1 for all other agents. (Each home sale consists of a listing side and a selling side.)
The Power Broker Report compares the nation’s 1,000 top-producing brokerages based on total transaction sides reported by participating brokerages. An abbreviated report containing the top 300 brokerages was released in April. Short list or long, RE/MAX agents were the clear leaders with respect to agent productivity. And despite last year’s slumping housing market, their sales increased 6 percent over 2010. RE/MAX brokerages qualified for 299 of the report’s 1,000 rankings, far more than any other franchise.
“Since 1997 it’s been true that nobody sells more real estate than RE/MAX. Some may brag about their numbers, but quality and performance is what consumers are looking for,” said RE/MAX CEO Margaret Kelly. “RE/MAX agents are performing well at a critical time when housing is starting to improve, making them the best choice to help homebuyers and sellers in today’s market.”
RE/MAX agents also led all national franchises in total sales volume for 2011 with an average of $3 million, 63% more than the average of all other agents in the survey. Earlier this year, RE/MAX brokerages claimed a dominant 44 of the Top 50 brokerages when ranked by transaction sides per agent in the REAL Trends 500. The survey also showed that RE/MAX agents averaged 15.1 transaction sides in 2011, an improvement of 4% from the previous survey and a level two times greater than the average of agents with most other national franchises.
“We’re so proud of our agents because we know they are the choice of millions of American families who may be facing a difficult situation or searching for the home of their dreams ,” added Kelly. Year after year, RE/MAX agents are among the country’s top performers because of the education they receive through RE/MAX University. The award winning, 24/7, on-demand service includes over 1,000 individual titles and can be accessed on the Internet, on television, in classrooms, or on personal mobile devices.
