The Holiday Season is meant to be a joyous time of year. However, for people who are struggling financially, it is often a difficult period to get through. Many real estate offices, in coordination with their agents and employees, donate to various charities such as Toys For Tots, Salvation Army, The RI Community Food Bank, as well as many others intended to help those in need.
RE/MAX Professionals in Newport, however, is taking a different approach.
The agents and staff have decided to adopt a family in need, through Child & Family’s “Adopt-a-Family” program, not just for the holiday season, but for the entire YEAR. In addition to gifts and food for Christmas, the office will donate items for a Thanksgiving basket, Easter Baskets, as well as backpacks and school supplies in September.
“The agents in our office are very generous. They enjoy giving back to their local community, not just during Christmas, but throughout the entire year”, stated Cathy Furtado, Broker-Manager of RE/MAX Professionals Newport.
